LG G4 for Verizon Review
I’ve been spending the last week with the LG G4 on the Verizon network and I have to say, I’m very impressed by this phone. My first impression when holding the phone is how much I love the screen. It’s big, beautiful and the bezel is very small. My only gripe is that the phone feels very plasticky and cheap even though it’s not. I do prefer the solid metal frame’s offered by the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the iPhone 6.
The phone is running Android 5.1 and it’s very snappy and responsive. I’m very particular when it comes to phones that are too slow and cause stuttering. I want smooth and buttery and this phone delivers that feel. The camera is fantastic! I would definitely rate it as one of the best cameras that I’ve personally used on an Android device.
The particular version of the device that I am using is on the Verizon network. Every phone call has been crystal clear. No dropped calls in my experience with the phone and the network. You can check out this version on the Verizon Store.
There is a removable battery and an sd card slot next to the battery. I’m not a huge fan of having to take the back off to get to the sd card slot but that is probably one of the sacrifices LG had to make to keep the phone slim. The battery life in my experience was average, not bad and not great. The speaker seemed pretty weak so I would definitely suggest using headphones with this device.
Overall I was surprised by how much I liked using this phone and would recommend it if not for anything else but the wonderful camera! While I prefer the solid builds of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the iPhone 6, I wouldn’t have any qualms suggesting this phone to someone in the market for a new smartphone.
