This past March we loaded everyone up in the Sedona and headed south to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World. This trip was a lot different from prior trips. We did a split stay across three different Disney resorts. The first one we stayed at was Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and Villas. We stayed in a one bedroom villa which had a full-sized kitchen, large bathroom with walk in shower and a jacuzzi style tub.
We have always wanted to stay at the Boardwalk. On many of our trips we have visited the Boardwalk to check out the shops or eat at one of the restaurants and I really wanted to be able to stay there one day. We finally did and we loved it! We love the fact that there are two parks that you can walk to (Epcot, Hollywood Studios) and all of the great food available on the Boardwalk. On this trip we ate at Big River Grille and Brewing Works, Ample Hills and the Pizza Window. The convenience of having all of these great places not to mention Epcot’s World Showcase restaurants within walking distance is fantastic.
They have two pools on the Villas side, the one with the scary clown and the quiet pool. Both are great but it was a little chilly at the beginning of this trip so not a lot of people were using the pools.
We also love that there are live entertainers like jugglers and magicians who perform right on the Boardwalk. They are a lot of fun and do a great job interacting with the audience. The Boardwalk is beautiful at night and you can view Epcot’s nightly show, Illuminations, from your room if you have the right view! It really is a great place to stay but I wouldn’t recommend paying Disney’s rate to do it. The best way is to rent points from a DVC member using a site like David’s Vacation Club Rentals. You can really save a lot and stay in deluxe accommodations using this method! Check out our room and resort tour below!
